Last month, runners from 37 countries traveled to Angkor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to participate in the third annual Ultra Trail of Angkor. Held on January 19 and 20, this event featured six races of varying distances: the 16K Angkor Nordic Walking, the 16K Angkor Temple Run, the 32K Angkor Jungle Trail, the 42K Marathon Trail, the 64K Bayon Trail and the main 128K Ultra Trail of Angkor race. More than 800 athletes participated in this year’s races, a significant jump of nearly 300 people from last year’s head count.
